Helen Williams Ward Bio

elen Williams Ward was born in Washignton, DC in 1968.
Helen was a smartypants from the start, but could never pay attention in class. Always drawing and doodling instead of doing real work her fate as an artist was sealed.
After studying Illustration and Wood Design at East Carolina University, Helen set out for the mountains of California. In between kayaking and skiing, she and a partner started a business designing and building furniture.
Four years later, it was back to the east coast where she earned her MFA in Scenic Design at North Carolina School of the Arts.
Her first gig in the movies was as a set designer on Elmo in Grouchland. And really, it has been all downhill from there. How can you beat a movie that stars both Mandy "Inigo Montoya" Patinkin and Big Bird?

Helen has worked as a set designer, storyboard artist and illustrator for over ten years and still finds it amusing to be paid to draw pictures.
